Actor Marc Hamil likes to give advice and share funny behind-the-scenes information on his journey star warsso fans love him even more when he does both!

Earlier this week, the voice actor behind the Joker in the Batman animated series had some great advice for its Twitter followers.

“Never stand when you can sit down”

On Monday, Twitter account VintagePhotos posted a photo of a young Mark Hamill sitting on the Emperor’s throne while filming “Return of the Jedi” in 1982, a year before the film was released.

On Tuesday, Mark retweeted it on his own account with advice he says was given to him by The Dirty Dozen actor Lee Marvin: “Never stand when you can sit.”

On Wednesday, Mark took Lee’s advice to its “logical conclusion”, adding: “Never sit down when you can lie down”. The photo showed Mark laying down with his eyes closed in “A New Hope,” in “The Empire Strikes Back,” and when he was lying on the ground at a recent fan convention. The photos read: “Napping since 1977”.

Fans are taking Mark Hamill’s advice to the next level

A user retweeted a meme of Luke Skywalker, calling him the Hide-and-Seek champion from 1983 to 2015, referencing the decades-long time span between the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy. After George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney in 2012, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill reprized their respective roles for “The Force Awakens” in 2015.

“This one is good for your back,” another fan commented, showing a photo of Luke hanging upside down at the Wampa Cave in Hoth. While in theory, hanging upside down may have temporary benefits for back pain, Healthline cautions that more studies are needed to confirm whether hanging upside down provides lasting health benefits.

“As children, we fight tooth and nail to avoid a nap. As adults we would commit major crimes just to close our eyes for 30 minutes,” another fan pointed out. “The fight is real.”

Another user said: “I love it when my childhood idol still gives me sound advice on how to live. 🙂 Keep being awesome Heart of the Tiger.

Hopefully Mark stays on Twitter providing great advice to his fans for a long time to come. Although many users have threatened to quit the social media service since Elon Musk reached an agreement with Twitter’s board of directors to buy the company, Mark isn’t going anywhere.

“No matter who owns it, no matter who works on it, I’m sticking around to engage with you, listen to diverse opinions, and keep fighting the good fight! (also, to keep posting the insane tweets I’m known for) he wrote, adding the hashtag #TwitterTenacity.
