CANCER (June 21-July 22): Your memory is SUBSTANTIAL. Your sensitivity is MONUMENTAL. Your urge to feed is DEEP. Your complexity is EPIC. Your feelings are BOTTOMLESS. Your imagination is AMAZING. Because of all these skills and abilities, you are TOO much for some people. Not everyone can handle your complex and sometimes confusing BEAUTY. But there are enough people enjoying and thriving on your donations. In the weeks and months to come, make it your quest to focus your urge to merge on them.
LEO (July 23-August 22): I love these lines from poet Leo Conrad Aiken: “Remember (when the time comes) how chaos died to shape the shining leaf.” I hope this lyrical thought helps you understand the transformation you are going through. Now is the time for some of your chaos to expire and in doing so generate your personal equivalent of shining leaves. Can you imagine what the process would look like? How could this unfold? Your duty is to meditate on these marvels.
VIRGO (August 23-September 22): A British woman named Andie Holman calls herself the Scar Queen. She says: “Tight scar tissue creates pain, impacts mobility, affects your posture and generally looks bad.” Its specialty is to reduce the limiting effects of scars, restore flexibility and reduce pain. Of course, she works with real physical injuries, not psychological ones. I wish I could refer you to healers who would help you with this last one, Virgo. Do you know any? Otherwise, look for one. The good news is that you now have more personal power than usual to recover from your old traumas and fade your scars. I urge you to make this work a priority in the weeks ahead.
LIBRA (Sep 23-Oct 22): The ancient Roman philosopher Seneca wrote, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” But a Spanish proverb suggests that a different element may be needed: “Good luck comes by nudging”. (Nudging refers to the gesture you use when pushing your way through a crowd, leading people away from the path you want to take.) A Danish proverb says preparation and nudging are not enough: “Luck will make someone jump across the creek if they’re not too lazy to jump.” Modern author Wendy Walker has the final word: “Fortune loves boldness.” I hope I have inspired you to be alert to the possibility that an additional chance is now available to you. And I hope I have convinced you to be bold, energetic, well-prepared and ready to throw yourself into the elbow. Make the most of this opportunity.
SCORPIO (23 Oct-21 Nov): Many Scorpios imagine sex as a magnificent devotion, a quintessential mode of worship, an unparalleled celebration of sacred ground. I approve and admire this perspective. If our culture had more of it, the arts and entertainment industries would offer far less of the degrading and superficial versions of sexuality that are so prevalent. Here’s another thing I love about Scorpios: Many of you understand the value of sublimating lust into other fun and uplifting pursuits. You are good at channeling your powerful libido into practical actions that may have no apparent erotic element. The coming weeks will be a great time for you to do a lot of this.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22-Dec 21): A Sagittarius reader named Jenny-Sue asked, “What actions could I take to make my life more magical?” I’m glad she asked. The coming weeks will be an auspicious time to raise your levels of pleasure and enchantment, to bask in the blessed glories of alluring mysteries and uncanny synchronicities. Here are some tips: 1. Learn the phases of the moon and write them down. 2. Acquire a new sacred treasure and keep it under your pillow or in your bed. 3. Before sleeping, ask your deep mind to provide you with dreams that help generate creative answers to a specific question. 4. Take walks at night or at dawn. 5. Make up a wild or funny prayer and shout it out loud as you run through a field. 6. Sing yourself a moving song while looking at yourself in the mirror.
CAPRICORN (December 22-January 19): Being able to receive love isn’t easy for some Capricorns. You may also not be adept at making yourself fully available for gifts and blessings. But you can learn these things. You can practice. With enough attention, you could eventually become adept at getting a lot of what you need and knowing what to do with it. And I believe the coming weeks will be a wonderful time to increase your mastery.
AQUARIUS (January 20-February 18): “If I don’t practice one day, I know it; two days, the critics know it; three days, the public knows it.” This quote is variously attributed to violinist Jascha Heifetz, trumpeter Louis Armstrong, and violinist Isaac Stern. This is a fundamental principle for anyone who wants to improve in any task, not just for musicians. To become a master of what you love to do, you must work at it with extreme regularity. That’s always true, of course. But according to my astrological analysis, it will be even more intensely true and desirable for you in the coming months. Life invites you to take your expertise to the next level. I hope you will answer!
PISCES (February 19-March 20): In May 2021, Jessica and Ben Laws got married on their dairy farm. The ceremony went off without a hitch, but an unforeseen event interrupted the reception. A friend who was watching their herd came to tell the happy couple that their pregnant cow had given birth and was struggling. Jessica ran up to the barn and into the active audience, still wearing her pretty long wedding dress and silver tiara. The dress got muddy and trashy, but the birth was a success. The new bride had no regrets. I suggest making her your role model for now. Put practicality over idealism. Go for raw, gritty necessities instead of neat formalities. Serve what’s moving, even if it’s messy.
ARIES (March 21-April 19): With a whimsical flourish, Aries poet Seamus Heaney wrote, “I ate the day / Deliberately, that its flavor / Could speed me all in verb, pure verb.” I wish you were a pure verb for a while, Aries. This would put you in solid connection with the astrological rhythms. As a pure verb, you will never be static. Fluidity and transformation will be your specialties. A constant stream of fresh inspiration and new meanings will come your way. You already have an abundance of raw potential to live like a verb, more than any other zodiac sign. And in the weeks to come, your aptitude for this fluidic state will be even stronger than usual.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20): According to Arthurian myth, the Holy Grail is a cup that bestows magical powers. Among them are eternal youth, miraculous healing, restoration of hope, resurrection of the dead, and an unceasing supply of wholesome and delicious food and drink. Did the Grail ever exist as a material object? Some believe it. After 34 years of searching, historian David Adkins thinks he’s about to find it. He says he is buried under an old house in Burton-on-Trent, a town in central England. I propose that we make this tantalizing prospect your metaphor for power over the next few weeks. Why? I suspect there’s a chance you’ll find some treasure or a valuable source of vitality. It can be partially hidden in plain sight or thinly disguised in an unremarkable setting.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20): I am pleased to allow you to be larger and more extensive in the weeks ahead. Like the Gemini poet Walt Whitman, you should never apologize and always be proud of the fact that you contain multitudes. Your versatile and broad outlook will be an asset, not a liability. We should all thank you for being a great collection of different selves. Your versatility and elasticity will enhance the well-being of everyone whose life you touch.
