Helping businesses in Tasmania receive specialist advice

July 16, 2022

Guy Barnett, Acting Minister for Small Business

There is no greater supporter of Tasmania’s 39,000 small businesses than the Liberal Government of Tasmania, as we recognize that the small business sector is essential to growing our economy and creating jobs.

Businesses in Tasmania can now apply to receive financial and business advice under the second round of the Small Business Advice and Financial Guidance Scheme.

The program offers grants ranging from $750 to $1,500 to qualifying small businesses.

Grant funds can be used to obtain services such as financial and business advice, support, advice and strategy development from a suitably qualified specialist or consultant. Eligible support may include financial and business planning, cash flow management, marketing, or corporate website support.

This second round of funding extends the support provided during the first round of the program, which enabled 423 businesses to receive more than $600,000 in funding.

Applications for the second round are open until May 30, 2023 or until funding has been allocated.
