VISAKHAPATNAM: Buoyed by the great success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Vizag, the BJP leadership plans to keep the mood among the people in favor of the party. The BJP received a big boost due to the PM’s two-day visit.

According to Modi’s advice, the BJP will now focus on social services to reach people below the poverty line and other sections, while striking a balance between development and politics. The Prime Minister’s message was loud and clear that they should set a new political trend in the state and they should connect with the people so that it helps to strengthen the party in the long run.

Modi’s Friday roadshow is the BJP’s biggest ever program since the state’s 2019 elections. BJP leaders were overwhelmed with people’s support for the roadshow as they doubted its success as permission had been given just hours before the event.

Another aspect that the BJP was able to establish through the public meeting was that the projects were fully funded and completed by the Union government. There was no political agenda at the public meeting and it was all about government development programs.

The BJP gained ground as Pawan Kalyan, chairman of its ally Jana Sena, flew to Visakhapatnam to meet the prime minister. Pawan Kalyan’s meeting with Modi restored the alliance between the two parties.

Speaking to TNIE, BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao said the BJP will continue to align with Jana Sena and maintain equidistance between Telugu Desam and YSRC. The time has come for them to establish themselves as a formidable alternative force to YSRC in the state, he said. The BJP will continue its Praja Porubata program to highlight the “wrongdoings” of the YSRC government and its leaders. However, its main focus will be to connect people with its outreach programs as per Modi’s suggestion.

Such a program will be started in Visakhapatnam and there will be no politics in the implementation of such programs. The social service program is the idea of the Prime Minister who, according to the MP, was inspired by Gandhian ideology.

BJP Visakhapatnam District Chairman M Ravindra said the party will soon launch a collection of unused and undamaged toys from middle and upper class homes, involving Mahila Morcha. The toys will be distributed to children from BPL families. The BJP will work out the modalities of the scheme soon, the MP added.
